Sarah Isaacs is a vary talented cookie with expertise in drama, script writing and is a well established author of children’s literature. Derek The Alien is one of the fun characters that Sarah has created and also a book for young boys who are reluctant to read poetry.
AL and Amy are on the show to talk to Sarah about her career. Where do her ideas come from? How does one get into the right mindset to write stories that young ones will enjoy and finally how does a writer find the right motivation to be able just just…write?
That last point is particularly interesting as Sarah run writers retreats but not in a typical seminar by seminar convention. Offering great food, relaxing spa and therapy options and the choice to either come to relax and let the answers find you while being around other creatives, or throwing yourself into it.
AL ads that he wouldn’t get much work done as he’d spend his time relaxing in the hot-tub!
