Join Alex as he takes on Loopfest 2023. With his mic in-hand he is determined to cover as much of the festival as he can. But with over 120 artists performing at 25 different venues across Shrewsbury he far can he realistically get?
Starting at Shrewsbury Castle, moving onto the Bulls Head and then finishing at The Anchor Inn, it seems not very far!
Biting off more than he can chew, this task was a lot harder than he realised. That being said this podcast includes some really great interviews ft Ben from Manor Heights, David Gregg, (Albert’s Shed) National Milk Bar, the landlady from The Anchor and Vincent Whyte. With smatterings of interviews gained on the way around town.
The second half of this episode features post-event interviews with Jack Norcup from Chasing August and Loopfest creator Jamie Smith aka Jimmy Kebab.
Special thanks go to Derek, Tracey and Caitlyn Willis plus Neville Street. These guys found me struggling with my gear and took me under their wing. We went on a journey across Loopfest together, sampling the atmosphere along the way. Their voices added something really special to this episode. A brilliant co-hostery team for a day of great local music.
