Join AL as he takes a long, relaxed look into the lives and careers of 2 extremely talented guests. For today’s episode we will be speaking to multi BAFTA winning CBBC and CBeebies producer Tony Reed and Jane Pickworth who is a very talented puppeteer and voice actor.
We first take a look at Tony’s career. How did he get into TV work, what has he learned over the years and where has his fantastic career taken him? We also discuss the challenges when it comes to making TV for delicate ears and the eager sponge-like minds of children. Stepping up the rungs of the ladder, what was that like? What was is like winning not 1, but 4 BAFTAs? and what were Tony’s favourite programmes to work on.
We then take a look at Jane’s career. How does one get into doing voices and how did it all happen for Jane? What is the life of a puppeteer like? What are the career highs, challenges and fun parts to Jane’s story as an entertainer, especially one as passionate as her?
This is a purposefully long, conversation, set in Jane and Tony’s lovely home with the cute, yet playful dog Poppy in the background. This will offer you a great insight into the lives of 2 extremely talented, warm hearted and genuine people.
