Today AL is speaking to Mayor of Shrewsbury, Counsellor Elisabeth Roberts in an interview that is designed as a “get to know you” conversation.
Elisabeth is very down to earth and talks about her passionate fight in support for the autistic and neurodiversity communities. Throughout the years of keeping her children safe through their struggles with autism, Elisabeth has been battling to make sure her kids are treated fairly and have everything they need for a happy and normal life. It hasn’t been easy though and this is where the passion to help others comes from.
What has it been like for Elisabeth in her first 5 weeks as Mayor? What are the do’s and don’ts of being the Mayor and did you know there’s an actual Mayoral rule book?
This was a wonderful interview and it was great spending some time getting to know our town’s Mayor. Special thanks go out to Martha, or Mini-Mayor as Elisabeth calls her. She sat there so patiently while we chatted. Thank you.
