Shane and Deedee speak to Tom Perring and Gary Dodd from Shrewsbury Town Fisheries. In a very honest chat, the guys discuss how the Shrewsbury water ways have changed over the years, their responsibilities and challenges that they have faced. Things change though and with the use of social media and technology to help communicate and observe the area, Shrewsbury’s waters have never been safer and it’s down to Gary, Tom and their team.

How did Covid affect local fishers? How are stocks counted? What happens when a bailiff catches an un-licenced fisher? and what is fly fishing? All of the important questions are answered.

I wasn’t in this interview but I was sat in the corner editing and I got to meet Gary and Tom. They are great guys that are very passionate about their jobs and have made amazing, positive changes to the Shrewsbury fishing scene. It was great to meet them.” – AL
