For the Mile Of Smiles event on Sunday 25th July, The Shrewsbury Biscuit Podcast had the great honour of being able to set up a studio for the day. The goal was to sample and document the event with as many great interviews as they could get.
One of the nicest things to happen during the day, was AL got to FINALLY meet Kelda Wood in person. Kelda has been on the show 2 times before and always inspires.
Since we last spoke to Kelda, an awful lot has happened. A breast cancer diagnosis, a Mastectomy and then (in true Kelda Wood style) a triathlon! AL just had to find out what drove Kelda to put herself through so much after being poorly.
Throughout the day there were money tins spread throughout the town for Kelda’s charity “Climbing Out” On 8th October Climbing Out are doing a Fundraising Hike in Snowdonia and they are looking for people to get involved. If you’d like to take part go to https://climbingout.org.uk/latest-news/join-the-climbing-out-fundraising-hike/
A plan formulates throughout this episode to get AL involved with the idea of taking some mics up Snowdon! Watch this space!
